Starkloff Career Academy helps individuals with disabilities launch or advance fulfilling careers.
Our course is specifically designed by and for professionals with disabilities to address our unique concerns about identity, equity, and accessibility in the workforce.
The Starkloff Career Academy has three tracks, designed together to meet individuals where they are in both their career journeys and their personal disability experiences and offer the right amount of learning and support.
- Foundations: Are you launching your career? Our introductory program helps people with disabilities gain the foundational knowledge, skills, and tools they need to start their career journey. These candidates, looking for a first job, enroll in a 4-week live online class. (Download Foundations flyer.)
- Transitions: Do you want to translate your knowledge, skills, and experiences into new opportunities? If you are changing industries or navigating changes with a newly acquired disability, join this 8 week class, working with self-paced resources in our online classroom and meeting informally for weekly support sessions and career coaching. - Advancements: Are you an emerging or senior leader with a disability? Whether you are focusing on a promotion, joining a board, or leveraging civic networks to achieve your next step, Advancements will help you build the leadership skills and strategies to succeed and navigate the unique barriers we face as disabled professionals. Our participants are typically college graduates who can excel in their fields, but are doubting their talent and themselves because of stereotypes that leave them excluded and isolated.
